Here is where I will tell you all a little story about the characters I have played
in past and present Role Playing Games, with my friends and whatnot. Feel free to send me some of your stuff, and I'll do
my best to add them here.
Raziel (a.k.a. "that clove smellin' bastard", Erz, Arch)
Played from: October 1997 to present.
Game system used in: Champions, Vampire: The Masquerade, Star Wars d20.
Character History: >>not finalized yet<<
History: Raziel was the first Vampire: The Masquerade character I ever played as.
He was a Seraphim, which is a net clan based on Gargoyles. He was a third Gargoyle, a third Vampire, and a third Demon...needless
to say, my Storyteller, Mike, had no idea what he was getting himself into. Either way, the game I used him in lasted for
two sessions, so I couldn't release Raziel's ultimate darkness...yet. Since then, Raziel has made an appearance, in some form
or another, in every single role-playing game I have run as GM since. He recently went through another change, and while I
can't say what it was since my current players may see it, rest assured, it doesn't bode well for them. *WEG* For some reason,
my players always wanted to put a cap in Raziel's ass, I never knew why. I always presented him as a possible ally, and they
always played their hand like he was the enemy.
Appearance: Raziel stands about 6'5" and is built like a freight train. He is solid
muscle, and has a pair of leathery bat-like wings protruding from his shoulders. These wings are fully functional, and he
can carry up to 150 lbs with him skyward. His siganture powers are, well, whatever I think he should have...he is an NPC you
know...*WEG* Raziel's distictive features, besides his wings, are that he chain smokes Djarum Black clove cigarettes, and
his eyes seem to be reversed, wherein his pupils are white, and the rest of his eye is black. His hair is long and white,
and it often hangs down in front of his face.
Commonly Heard Quote: Raziel only speaks when it's needed, so most often he'll just give an icy stare.

James "Snake-eye" Shaddock
Played from: May 2002 - August 2002
Game system used in: Vampire: The Masquerade
Character History: James Snake-eye Shaddock was the meanest and best gunslinger
in the west, any who faced him knew they were staring certain death in the eyes, and most flinched. Snake-eye seemed to have
a supernatural ability not only sense, but also dodge incoming fire. When he did get hit, it hardly seemed to faze him. If
the shot did not actually knock him down, he barely seemed to feel it. No one knew how this one man could withstand so much
punishment; after all, its not humanly possible, is it?
For most of his life, James had been watched by a Setite named Demus. Demus was
searching for a new apostate for the temple of Set in the desert near Las Vegas. James came to his attention after his father
fought and nearly beat back a crew of Demus thugs on the road to Vegas. James father died as a result of his confrontation,
but the complete lack of tears and vow of revenge that the then 8-year-old James made impressed him. Demus decided to see
if James would make a worthy Follower of Set. 4 years later, when James was 12, his mother contracted a terrible illness.
Demus approached him disguised as a tonic peddler, claiming he had a special tonic that could heal his mother completely.
James had no money, but Demus simply laughed and said that he did not need money, just a favor. Demus had the pre-teen James
smuggle weapons and other contraband back and forth through a war zone of feuding families. James, with his small size and
unusual knack for talking himself out of tough situations, performed better than Demus had ever hoped. Demus gave James mother
the tonic, and she did well for a few months. After that, she once again became ill, so James decided to seek out the strange
man from California once more. Demus agreed to give James mother more tonic, at the expense of another favor. Things continued
like this for several more years, and each time his mother relapsed, it was worse than before. Finally, after six years, when
James was 18, his mother finally died. On her deathbed she told James that she had contracted the disease from selling herself
at the local brothel so he could have a roof over his head. Her final words to her son were those of love, but James did not
hear them, because he was so wracked with guilt and sorrow. James attempted to move on, but the thrill of the chase was now
lost on him. Crime had been a means to and end for him. He stole, lied and cheated for the greater good of helping his mother,
but now that she was gone, there was nothing left for him anymore. He wandered off into the desert, hoping to never return
again.
Two weeks later, James lay dying in the sand. Night had long ago fallen, and he
had eaten a peyote plant hoping the hallucinogens would finish him off. While in his inebriated state of mind, Demus found
him, and informed James that his mother did not actually sell herself for him, but that in fact Demus himself had given her
the illness, to test James resolve. James attempted to kill Demus, but in his intoxicated state, was easily humbled. That
night, James became a ghoul. Waking up the next night with a splitting headache and an odd taste in his mouth, James vowed
to find Demus and kill him, believing the peyote gave him a brief glimpse into the real workings of the world. Several more
years passed and James challenged anyone and everyone he could to gun duels. He won all of them, with the feeling that if
he impressed Demus enough, he would show himself and it would be over. Each time James thought he was out of leads, he would
eat more peyote. Demus, who had been watching him, would then reveal himself and humble his would be childe again, until finally,
one night, after nearly a decade of this constant abuse, Demus finally Embraced James. To this night, he isnt sure if it was
because he passed his would be masters test, or if he failed.
Once James was Embraced, he was left to his own devices, and did the best he could
making a living using the skills Demus taught him, those of lies, treachery and deceit. Finally, after what felt like centuries
of searching, James believed he had found his sire, in a piss-ant little burg in Massachusetts. He did find his sire, and
managed to overpower and diablerize him, but he also encountered something else there, the origins of which he abjectly refuses
to discuss. All he knows, is that in 1986, in Troy City Massachusetts, he sawsomething, and it scared him so badly his heart
nearly started beating again. Something happened in New England that year, and very few of the Kindred there made it out with
their unlives intact. James was one of them. He will not speak of what happened there, but he does sport an ugly scar that
took out his right eye, and a necklace with six fangs on it, and one larger fang, which he claims belonged to a werewolf.
Since his experience, he has become a bit of a Noddist. He still smuggles contraband to and fro to complement his income,
but in his free time he researches and tries to uncover more Noddist lore.
Histroy: A friend of mine was getting ready to run a "big hair 80's"
Vampire game, and wanted to know if I wanted to be in it. I agreed, but couldn't come up with an idea for a character among
my usual Clan of Malkavian. After about a week, I had me a revelation, I'll play a clan that is violently opposed to the continued
existance of Clan Malkavian. So, James "Snake-eye" Shaddock was born. He is a backstabbing, cowardly, little snake (no pun
intended) of a person who would sell out his own grandmother to save his own hide. He didn't start out that way, but the "incident"
in New England changed all that. Before you ask, the incident was the "big hair 80's" game. It did not end well, as all chronicles
set in your home town do. After the 80's game I retired James to the "shelf o' old character sheets" until Mike (remember
him? He's the one that let me play Raziel) decided to run a new game, so I brought James out of retirement and spiffed him
up a bit. Mike has regretted his decision ever since. *WEG* I've been taking Anime/Manga drawing classes, and hopefully I'll
have a pic of Snake-eye soon.
Image:
James is a slender; some would say scrawny, man of indeterminate age. He shows lines of age caused by the dust of the road,
and conducts himself in a rude, gruff manner. He still wears the apparel popular in his breathing days, usually a brown leather
duster (ankle length), a snake-skin cowboy hat, and snake-skin cowboy boots, complete with spurs. Strangely, his look and
demeanor resemble that of a snake, which may have been one of the factors that attracted him to Demus in the first place.
His face is very narrow and he wears his short black hair slicked back against his skull. His light frame (6 foot 4, and maybe
120 pounds) complements this image. Most do not believe him to be a Setite, for, in their opinion, no self-respecting Setite
would make themselves that obvious. This assumption suits him just fine for the time being, because he has no use for stereotypes
or the people (or Kindred) who believe them. A long scar runs from his hairline, though his right eye and down the rest of
his face, and down his neck, and he refuses to say where he got it. His right eye is missing, and instead of wearing a patch,
he wears a glass eye, which is solid black with a red snipers crosshairs on it. He carries matched chrome Colt Pythons on
his hips, and carries a sawed-off mossberg 12-guage shotgun behind the passengers seat of his 67 Shelby Cobra. His pistols
are completely chromed out, which he polishes almost obsessively, and each has an ivory handle with a cobra carved into it
in dark gray relief. His car is modified for speed and storage space; there is a false bottom in the trunk, and hidden panels
in the doors and under the drivers seat. Nitrous tanks sit under the passenger seat. His car can reach near 250m.p.h. in a
pinch, but he would never endanger his unlife in such a fashion. James speaks with a wavering cowboy-esque accent, which hes
careful to cover up, but in times of stress it makes itself known.

Serpentyne
Played from: 7-97 to 3-98
Game system used in: Champions
Character History: Serpentyne was a Lizardman living in a world called the Skatarian
Caverns. The Caverns were as big as anything else, and entire civilizations prospered there. There was no natural light, instead,
luminescent mosses lit the world 24/7. Serpentyne lived in a small village in an obscure part of the caves. One day, as he
was out on the hunt to collect food for his family, the Dreg attacked. The Dreg were a race of half-dragons who destroyed
anything in their path. Upon returning from the hunt, Serpentyne found his home destroyed, and his lifemate dying. She died
in his arms. That day, with everyone and everything he knew gone, Serpentyne discarded his last name, which had taken considerable
tasks to earn, and vowed never again to use it until he took revenge on the Dreg clan that destroyed everything he held dear.
He would not rest until the Dreg that destroyed his life payed for their deeds in blood.
History: Serpentyne was the first roleplaying character I *ever* played, and to
this day is still one of my favorites. He has to be number 2 in my top 3 favorite characters, Raziel being in the top spot.
His name came from an old comic I had picked up in a flea market. It was a copy of the comic ROM: Spaceknight. The story and
main character were stupid, but in issue 7 they instroduced a lizardman who had survived the genocide of his people. Guess
what his name was? Serpentyne came about when my friend Mike (yeah, that Mike, the one that let me play Raziel) told
me about this neat game he was playing called Champions. Now, I had no idea what roleplaying was, being the sheltered
little catholic school brat that I was. I joined the game, and the GM, Daryll, helped me make my first character, thus starting
my love-hate relationship with the role-playing world.
Appearance: Serpentyne is a Lizardman, which is a humanoid lizard. He has a long tail which he can use
to trip up opponenents. His skin is hard and scaly, these scales provide a natural kind of armor, he is a superb swimmer and
he has 2 inch razor-sharp claws on each finger. Serpentyne looks very much like the Lizard of Spider-Man fame, but he's wearing
a suit of half-plate. Serpentyne is a mutant among his own kind, and evidence of this is as plain as his dark red scales.
Every other lizardman had green or brown scales. All lizardmen have the racial ability of invisibility and heat vision, but
Serpentyne had something else, something very special, he had a special power called the "Venom Blast". Which drained 3d6
worth of endurance from whoever it hit. The coolest thing about this power is that to employ it, Serp would have to work up
a massive loogie, and then spit it at the intended target. It was obviously a short range weapon, but it saved his scaly ass
on multiple occaisions.
Commonly Heard Quote: "Kiss my scaly red ass!"
Stats:
Hair: None
Eyes: Yellow with vertical pupil
Height: 6'8"
Weight: 450lbs with armor (300 w/out)
Race: Lizardman

Notable equipment?: full suit of Half-plate, masterwork longsword, Wooden shield with Dreg teeth attached.

Marcus "Minion" Kane
Played from: 3/99 to 5/99
Game system used in: Champions
Character history: Marcus Kane, younger brother of Jeremiah Kane (aka, Scorpio) was a long haul truck
driver. He was also a mutant with the ability to control and focus raw kinetic energy to his own uses. His powers included
flight, a force field, energy blasts, and teleportation. Marcus became involved in the campaign's doings when news of his
brother's death reached him. Upon investigation, Marcus' fiance and newborn child were abducted, and he was forced to work
against his teammates in order to secure their safety.
History: Marcus and Scorpio were the two character ideas I had bouncing around my head for a new game
of Champions I was to join. I settled on Scorpio as my first choice, but, tragically, I lost him in the first session. After
a healthy session of bottle smashing behind the store, I came back in with my back-up, Marcus. His powers were ripped almost
word for word from one of the heroes listed in the Champions book, with some slight revisions. Thus, Marcus "Minion" Kane,
the foul smelling long haul trucker was born.
Appearance: Marcus is a mutant, and the physical signs of his powers manifest as glowing red eyes that
leave an energy trail whereever he walks. He covers this by wearing face-hugging wraparound sunglasses. He stands about 6'1",
with shaggy, unkempt blonde hair. He wears a greasy T-shirt underneath a button-up work-shirt with the sleeves cut off. He
wears the work shirt open, and the tags on each lapel say "Ace Trucking" and the name is torn and unreadable. He wears a pair
of stained and dirty jeans and work boots. He sports a tattoo of a snake that begins at the base of his neck, wraps around
the whole of his arm, and terminates on the top of his right hand. Marcus' build is less than athletic, and he sports a small
beer belly.
Commonly heard quote: "I ain't no hero, I just want my family back."
Stats:
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: originally green, but now red and pupilless.
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 280lbs
Picture?: workin on it.
Notable powers: Teleportation, Energy Blasts, Entangle, Force Field, Flight.
---------------------------------
Scorpio
Played from: 3/99 to later that night.
Game system used in: Champions
Character History: Scorpio, (aka Jeremiah Kane) was a cross between Iron Man, Deathlok and the Scorpion,
all from Marvel Comics. His basic story is that he joined the military, and lost his life in a tragic accident on the live
ammunition training course. He had signed a release to allow his body to be used for science, and his brain was transplanted
into the body of another unfortunate, who was the subject of a power suit experiment. The suit bestowed many powers on its
wearer, such as increased strength, sight, and a prehensile scorpion's tail. Scorpio served his military masters well, until
one operation required him to "silence" a witness before their court appearance. The taking of an innocent life broke his
programming, and he's rebelled ever since. He joined the adventuring party in an attempt to find his original body, and give
it a proper burial.
History: Scorpio was one of my favorite characters of all time. I spent weeks tweaking him so that he
had just the right balance of powers and drawbacks, and to this day, he is, i believe, still the most balanced character I
have ever played. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication between myself and the GM, Daryll, Scorpio lost his life trying
to save another when he slipped and fell into a spiked pit trap face first. He didn't even last 2 hours. Either way, I moved
on and played my backup, Marcus from then on, but I couldn't help but wonder, how would Scorpio have handled the problems
that Marcus faced during the course of the campaign?
Appearance: The power suit Jeremiah's brain was transplanted to consisted of shiny silver breastplate,
bracers and shin guards, the rest was a metallic green form of scale mail. His helmet, made of the same green mail, resembled
that of Spider Man, mostly in the eyes (large white lenses set in an expression of permanent anger), with a patch opened for
his nose and mouth. His voice had a metallic twang to it, and he often would fight with his onboard computer.
Commonly Heard Quote: "Yeeeargh!" (go ahead, laugh, it's funny.)
Stats:
Hair: originally brown, but now, unknown
Eyes: originally blue, but now, unknown
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 450lbs (hey, the suit was made of metal)
Picture?: Need a scanner first.
Notable powers/equipment: Energy Net, grappling hook, boot jets allowing superleap, claws, increased
senses, enhanced strength and dexterity, tail including a stinger and a plasma ray.
---------------------------------------
Philippe "The Mouse" L'ereux (aka, Skinny Wolf)
Played from: 5/00 to 1/01
Game system used in: Werewolf: The Dark Ages
Character History: Philippe L'ereux was a poor homeless orphan trying eke out an existance among the
poor and impoverished of the city of Thornwatch. He lost both his parents to the plague when he was just a child, and actually
contracted it himself, but for some reason, his body fought off the deadly illness. He never knew why, but he always had very
vivid dreams, about wolf-men and strange creatures he couldn't even begin to describe. One night, while on the run from the
local authorities for stealing a loaf of bread, something amazing happened to little Philippe. During a mad sprint for the
river, he suddenly dropped to all fours and grew hair and a snout. Before he knew what was happening, he had evaded the pursuers,
and found that he was now a wolf. After his first change, Philippe was found by a caern of local Garou (werewolves) and trained
in his new powers.
History: I had never played Werewolf before, and my friend, lets call him Dark Mark, was putting together
a game and wanted to know if I'd like to join. Upon scanning the book, I realized I liked the tribe/auspice combination of
Bone Gnawer Ragabash, thus, the wise-cracking, purse snatching, plague infested Philippe was born.
Appearance: Philippe is short and skinny, standing about 4'11" and weighing probably about 98lbs, if
that. He has a nasty scar running through his right eye, and his eye is red due to the burst blood vessel. He always wears
a dark cloak with the hood up so no one can see his face. He wears a set of ill-fitting leather armor, which he stole, and
carries a fetish item, also stolen, called Pheobe's Veil, which would allow him to become completely invisible for a number
of minutes equal to his roll. While most Garou stand about 8-9 feet tall while in the battle forms, called Crinos, Philippe's
Crinos form is a much short 6'5", and it resembles more of an angry street mutt than any kind of wolf. His Lupus (or wolf) form
is a medium sized dog, with patches of fur missing, and one ear cut off. Philippe was the one the pack turned to for urban
survival, since he blended in better than any of them.
Commonly head quote: ::after knocking a theft victim unconscious:: "Thank you for your contribution
to the L'ereux charity, your donation is appreciated, have a nice evening."
Stats:
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 4'11"
Weight: 98lbs
Race: Garou
Tribe: Bone Gnawer
Auspice: Ragabash
Notable Powers: shapeshifting, mixed Morph, Pheobe's Veil, Trail of the Larder.
Nikolas Jest
Played from: 12/03 - present
Game system used in: d20 Modern: Urban Arcana
Character History: Nikolas does not remember too much about his past. Only the
last four painful years. All he knows is that he was once far more powerful than he is now, and that his father is a powerful
vampire. What Nikolas doesn't know is that he used to be a vicious and powerful spellcaster and crimelord. Being half-vampiric,
he aged at a very slow pace, and is actually over 150 years old. He attained vast occult knowledge and power, until he came
to the attention to a cabal of evil witches, who decided that he could be a detriment to their plans, whatever those may have
been. Either way, they enacted a ritual to strip him of his power (in game terms, dropping him from 20th to 2nd level),
and framed a not quite so evil sister of theirs for the crime. Nikolas believes the sister, Morganna, to be responsible for
his pain, but cannot exact his revenge on her in his weakened state. He has recently joined a "shodowy organization" called
Department 7, which is effectively a kind of MiB organization, policing the "shadowkind" (elves, dwarves, orcs and whatnot).
He had managed to sneak into an office building on a lark, but what he didn't know was that the building was a department
7 front. He made it suprisingly far before security caught up with him. Impressed with his skills, Department 7 gave him a
choice, join them, or they turn him over to the "proper authorities". Having already seen some classified documents, and not
really knowing what they meant by "proper authorities" he chose to join them as an infiltrator.
History: I was looking to join a game as a player recently, being a bit burnt-out of the GM lifestyle,
and my friend Derek was running a d20 modern game, so I enlisted. Nikolas is based off an old Vampire: The Masquerade NPC
I had, but obviously adjusted for the d20 setting. Nikolas is a half-vampire, or dhampir, whose father is the infamous "Night
Stalker", the legendary vampiric kingpin of NYC. I have been trying to play both sides to benefit Nikolas, but I think I goofed
somewhere along the way, and now Nik is a thrall of his father...assuming the group survives what's about to happen, they'll
never trust Nikolas ever again. Guess it's time for a new character.
Appearance: Nikolas stands about 5'9", with piercing ice blue eyes, and a nest of unruly blonde hair
that seems to perpetually be in need of a trim. He is very thin, almost anorexically so, and he always carries around a courier
bag, which holds all his thieving tools. Lockpicks, liquid nitrogen, a hammer, a power drill, duct-tape and zipties (in case
a break in goes south), and a varying assortment of painkillers, mostly illegally obtained. The ritual enacted against him
was quite painful, and even trying to access his lost memories is enough to trigger the pain all over again. Only by gaining
levels can he remember things about his past, effectively "remembering" his levels of infiltrator, Battle-Mind, and whatnot.
I certainly hope I can continue to use him.
Stats:
Hair:Blonde
Eyes: Ice Blue
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 130lbs
Race: Dhampir
Notable powers/skills: Regeneration, ungodly bonus for disable device and tumble.
